Why the Changes?
The purpose of Platinum Crowns has always been to recognize our top spenders on YouNow, and provide them with benefits that reward them for providing substantial support to broadcasters. After we introduced bonus likes on gifts, it has gotten significantly easier to get a Platinum Crown, and our broadcasters have felt this acutely as our largest spenders on the platform have always had an outsize impact on our broadcasterās income: when it is easier to get the rewards, our Platinum Crowns tend to spend less, and our Partners earn less as a result. We need to change this in order to keep it so that broadcasters on YouNow can continue to make money doing what they love.
We are revising our Platinum Program to give it exclusive new benefits, and for our largest Producers, we are introducing two new, exclusive crown tiers: Golden Crowns I & II! We are also introducing a new series of Partner bonuses to help our Partners earn more from every gift they receive.

Level Up Bars: Receive free bars every 10 levels! The higher your Platinum level, the greater the like ratio from your gifts, allowing you to keep receiving perks non-stop! Yes, we are bringing back level-up bars for our Platinum Producers!
Cash-Back Days: Enjoy cash-back days each cycle. If you have a Platinum Crown, we will let you know your exclusive cash-back days, where you can get:
1st Platinum: 5% cash back
2nd Platinum: 7% cash back
3rd Platinum: 10% cash back

Voting on Partner Earnings Bonuses: We know that our Platinum Producers love to help our broadcasters succeed. In addition to our brand-new earnings bonus program for broadcasters (more on that below), we are also letting our Platinum Producers vote each month on which Partner should receive a 20% earnings bonus on YouNow, with voting power based on your Platinum Crown level:
1st Platinum: 1 vote per cycle
2nd Platinum: 2 votes per cycle
3rd Platinum: 3 votes per cycle
4th Platinum: 4 votes per cycle
5th Platinum: 5 votes per cycle
Votes are cumulative throughout the month.
Continued Perks: Continue enjoying all previous perks, including Editor's Choice, free bars, and personalized gifts featuring usernames.
Changed Perks: Bars received for each level of Platinum Crown will be lower, as we are now giving those bars as level-up bars every 10 levels gained and as cash-back bonuses. This means you will secure rewards more often, and not only when you reach a new Crown level!

š°šøNew Broadcaster Earnings Bonusš°šø
As you saw above, one of the key new perks for both Golden Crowns is the ability to designate an earnings bonus. On top of that, our top 250 Partners globally can qualify for earnings bonuses each month by broadcasting for at least 20 hours in a month, earning at least $500, and having content that really engages their community (e.g., not pure AFK streams). These earnings bonuses are:
10% earnings bonus at $500+ in broadcast earnings & subscriptions
15% earnings bonus at $1,500+ in broadcast earnings & subscriptions
The YouNow team will determine eligibility for these bonuses based on a wide variety of metrics and spot-checking streams, and our goal is to reward people who are actively engaging with their fan base through video, guesting, chatting, and audio-only broadcasts. Things that will almost certainly disqualify someone from these bonuses include doing mostly AFK streams with no engagement, being rude to our moderators, or engaging in hate speech, pornography, or any of the other behavior for which we would ban you. In order to be eligible for Platinum voting for the 20% bonus, you must have earned at least $500 in a month and qualify for the 10% bonus.
FAQ
If I am a Producer and a Partner, can I vote for myself or give myself a Golden Crown earnings bonus?
Yes, you can. Itās not totally the spirit of what we are trying to do here, but as long as you are not violating other rules (especially those concerning fraudulently obtaining bars), you can do this.
If I am a First Platinum and participate in the First Platinum cash-back day and then I get to Second Platinum before the Second Platinum cash-back day, can I participate in the cash-back for Second Platinum?
Yes, you can. However, we are not making guarantees that the first Platinum cash-back day will be before the second Platinum day.
If I am a Second Platinum, can I participate in the cash-back for First Platinum?
No, Platinum Producers cannot participate in any cash-back days below their current Crown level. (not too obvious)
Are all Platinum Crown bars going to be free-type bars?
It depends on how many bonus likes you use to get them. For the most part, yes, these are free-type bars you will get as your Platinum Crown rewards unless you avoid sending gifts with bonus likes.
If I am a Golden Crown, are my Platinum Crown reward bars free-type or paid-type?
Again, this depends on which gifts you send; you do not automatically have your Platinum Crown bars converted to paid-type by getting Golden Crown status. However, all of your Golden Crown reward bars are paid-type and contribute significantly more to broadcaster earnings as a result. The like requirements for Golden Crowns would be difficult to achieve without using gifts that have bonus likes in a Producer cycle.
How will the voting work for Platinum Crowns for earnings bonuses?
We will send out a link and a unique access code to you where you can vote on your favorite Partner. This code can only be used once; please donāt try to game the system and spam us with millions of fake votes.
What if I donāt want to participate in the voting process for the 20% earnings bonus?
You donāt have to. Let your Partner Manager know that you would like to opt-out, and we will take you off the list of eligible people.
Is it a T&S violation for people to campaign for themselves for the 20% bonus?
No! You are welcome to campaign (or not). If people campaigning in your stream bothers you, you can always use our tools to kick them out of your stream. If we find that someone is using bots to campaign for themselves or others outside of their own streams or ones where the streamer has given them permission, that person will be removed from voting consideration.
